One can enjoy a delightful day and gather home landscape ideas while viewing seven distinctive gardens Saturday, June 14 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at this year’s 6th annual PEO Hermiston Garden Tour. Tickets containing a map and full description of the gardens for this self directed tour are available for $10 at The Cottage on Highway 395 Hermiston, at the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce and at the gardens on tour day. A map of the garden locations may also be found on Google Maps under Hermiston Garden Tour 2008.
The gardens are selected for beauty, innovative ideas and design. Also, every effort is made to include a variety in size and style. This year's gardens range from the rampantly informal to quite structured garden rooms in style and from the very small urban lot to 2 acres in size.
Funds raised from this tour are used to provide educational opportunities for women through a variety of PEO scholarships and a loan fund.
