Ams Fall to Rival Chiefs 5-3
SPOKANE - Tri-City fell on the road to Spokane 5-3 for their second loss in three games.
The game was tied up 3-3 through two periods, but the third period belonged to the Chiefs. Dylan Walchuk added a power play goal seven minutes into the period, and Dominik Uher followed that up with an empty net goal in the final minute.
Americans’ goalie Ty Rimmer stopped 19 of 23 shots on the night, and the scorers for Tri-City include: Drydn Dow, Brendan Shinnimin, and Sam Grist.
The loss is Tri-City’s first to Spokane since October 1st.
Next up for the Americans, they play the Winterhawks on Monday afternoon in Portland.
