In the high school football ranks, the new top 10 polls came out on Wednesday...and the news is mixed for our area's teams.

In 4A, despite beating Rainier Beach by 14 points, Pasco drops 2 spots to number 5.

In the 3A poll, Kamiakin moves up to number 2 in the state after shutting out Richland.

But Kennewick falls out of the top 10 after their big loss to Lake City, Idaho.

And the first volleyball polls of the season were also released on Wednesday.

None of our area's 4A teams cracked the top 10...but 3 of them, Pasco, Richland, and Walla Walla, are all on the bubble.

And in 3A, the situation is just the opposite.

Hanford starts the year at number 3...Kamiakin is just behind them at number 4...and Southridge is in the 6-th spot.
