This is the final weekend of high school state basketball tournaments.
There are 4 different tournaments this week...3A boys, 3A girls, 2A boys, and 2A girls.
And, amazingly, we only have 1 area team that's still playing.
That would be the Prosser girls...and they played their first round game Wednesday night as they took on Kingston.
And Prosser has no trouble with Kingston...the Mustangs end up with the 45-23 win.
Prosser will be back on the court Thursday at 7:30 PM when they play Elma in the state quarterfinals.
Down in Oregon, there was another state tournament that got started on Wednesday.
The 5A girls tourney kicked off in Eugene.
The last time Hermiston was in the tournament was 2008, when they finished in 2nd place.
Wednesday, they opened up the tournament against Wilsonville.
The game was tied at the half...but it was all Wildcats after the break.
And they beat Hermiston 43-32.
The Bulldogs will be back on the court Thursday morning at 9 when they play Willamette in an elimination game.
