Former Ams Captain Visits Team

Before the Ams went on their Christmas break, they held their last practice at the Toyota Arena.

And, you may notice something a little odd.

See how there's only one player wearing an orange jersey...that's because he's not on the Ams roster.

That would be former captain Taylor Procyshen practicing with the team.

He made a visit back to town last week and decided to hit the ice with some of his former teammates.

And he says it was great to get back on the ice with some of his best hockey friends.

Procyshen says, "You know, I played with (Jarrett) Toll for 4 years, so I mean, I've known him for a long time and its kinda fun to be the really old guy, I thought I was old last year, but no, its fun to be on the ice and it was nice to get to know some of the new guys and meet (Ams head coach) Jim (Hiller), he's a really good guy and, you know, he's doing a really good job with the team this year."

Since he left the Tri-Cities, Procyshen has been at the University of New Brunswick.

He's helped the Varsity Reds to a perfect 15-0 record this year and he's playing with another former Ams captain, Alex Aldred.
