One of the biggest wrestling tournaments in the region kicked off on Tuesday.

The 10th annual Best of the West tournament started with the team competition.

Hermiston took home that title, beating Nampa, Idaho, in the championship.

On Wednesday, all of those wrestlers were back on the mat over at the TRAC for the individual part of the tournament.

Several of our area wrestlers had a good day.

12 of the 14 individual titles were won by kids from our area.

Two Southridge wrestlers brought home titles, Ricky Vinson and Ely Garza.

River View's Chance Watt won the 135 pound title.

And Hermiston had 6 individual winners...Joey Delgado, Jaylee Britt, and Abraham Rodriguez on this page.

The other 3 Bulldogs winners were in the higher weight classes...Bryce McMahon, Ben Millard, and Curtis Berger all won titles as well.

Two more Big Nine wrestlers picked up some hardware...Kamiakin's Pedro Mendoza and Pasco's Cody Rush.
