The Tri-City Americans are also staying busy.
On Tuesday, the team kicked off a 6 game homestand with a nice win over Seattle.
Then, the Ams spent the next 36 hours making a couple off-ice moves.
On Thursday, the Americans announced that defenseman Eric Mestery will be coming back to the Tri-Cities.
Mestery was part of the trade last November that brought Mitch Fadden to town.
In order to get him back, the Ams gave Lethbridge a 2nd round pick in this year's bantam draft.
In 21 games for the Hurricanes this year, Mestery has 2 goals, 5 assists, and 21 penalty minutes.
This was actually the 2nd trade the Americans made this week.
Late Wednesday night, they sent defenseman Lane Werbowski to Edmonton in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2011 bantam draft.
Werbowski had been in and out of the Ams line-up this year, and the team says this move will allow him to get more playing time.
Tri-City will be back on the ice on Friday night when they host Everett.
