Its not just the high school football season that's winding down.
Thursday night was also the final night of the regular season for our Big Nine volleyball teams.
We know which teams will finish in the top 4 spots in the league...the only question left is who will finish where.
So, let's hammer all of that out.
We start over in Richland, where the 2nd place Bombers took on Walla Walla.
And Richland does their part.
They beat Walla Walla 3 games to 1.
So, they had to wait and see what Southridge did.
If the Suns lost, Richland would be the district champions.
But, Southridge made sure that didn't happen.
The Suns went to Yakima and beat West Valley 3 games to 1.
So, Southridge wins the Big Nine district title outright.
The other 2 teams in the top 4 are Kamiakin and Eisenhower.
The Braves end the regular season with a win...they beat Pasco in 4 games.
And Eisenhower also wins as they sweep Kennewick.
So, after all of that...Southridge is the top seed, Richland is 2nd, Ike is 3rd, and Kamiakin is 4th.
