Dust Devils Slide Continues
By Keith Leventhal
The Tri-City Dust Devils are seeing their playoff hopes slowly slip away.
The team had a chance to pick up a game on first place Spokane on Thursday night. But a ground ball, an error, and a single brought home the game-winning run for Boise as they beat Tri-City 7-6. So, after that missed opportunity, the Dust Devils and Hawks were back on the field on Friday night. And, once again, its another wasted night for Tri-City. The Dust Devils scored 3 runs in the top of the 5th to take a 3-1 lead...but in the bottom of the 5th, Boise responded with 4 runs...and that was it for the scoring. The Hawks beat the Dust Devils for the 2nd straight night...this time it was a 5-3 defeat. These two teams will wrap up their 3 game series on Saturday night...then the Dust Devils will come home to open up a series against first place Spokane. |
