Connell ready for rematch with Chelan
Connell is another school with a rich football tradition... They've made four trips to the Dome in the last five years and a rematch with Chelan is the only thing holding them back from this year's title game.
The Eagles and Goats already met up earlier this year, with Connell taking the game in convincing fashion 35-0. However, that game was without Chelan signal caller Michael Amsel Junior, who currently has the Goats on a five game winning streak...
The Eagles may have history on their side, but they know it's going to be a battle come Saturday.
“They got some other plays that are real quick, you know they're solid, they're just a good solid football team, a big play making team that's our goal going in try to not let them make the big plays,” said Eagles head coach Wayne Riner.
“It gets closer and closer to the state championship and they feeling around here is just excitement and urgency, a lot more urgency now,” added Senior running back Matt Hadley.
The Eagles will be taking on the Goats up in Moses Lake with kickoff set at noon.
