Prosser preps for Arch Bishop Murphy
KENNEWICK - You can't think of high school football without thinking about the Prosser Mustangs in their history the team has made seven trips to the Tacoma Dome, capturing four state titles in the process. And now the Mustangs are just one win away from going back to the Dome.
But it won't be an easy road to get there, as Prosser prepares to take on Arch Bishop Murphy, a team that steam rolled their CWAC rival Othello 34-0 last week.
For the Prosser seniors, they know the expectations for wearing the red and white and they'll settle for nothing less than a trip to the dome.
“It would be a great feeling, last time I went I was a freshman and I didn't really get to play so I think going as a senior that'd be amazing one of the best feelings ever,” said Senior running back Isaac Anderson.
Senior linebacker Caleb Hoefer added, “that’d be great, one of my goals since I was a freshman and my class we've been playing together for like 9 years now. It's been our ultimate goal so that'd be awesome.”
The Mustangs will kick off with Arch Bishop Murphy at noon on Saturday at Lampson stadium.
