Suns and Bombers Comeback to Win
TRI-CITIES – The Big 9 soccer season is heating up as both Richland and Southridge came from behind to win on Saturday.
Southridge’s matchup with Kamiakin paired up the two best teams in Big 9 3A. The Braves came out and scored early thanks to a shot by Taylor Schutzenhofen.
The Suns responded later in the half, off a corner kick that Hannah Sanders put in for the equalizer. Southridge added another in the second off to complete the comeback and win 2-1.
Out in Richland, the Bombers put their perfect league record on the line as they hosted the Chiawana Riverhawks.
Richland controlled the game early on, but a turnover led to Chiawana’s Alexandria Miller connecting for the first goal of the game.
The Bombers trailed 1-0 at halftime, but came out in the second half and scored twice to hold on for the 2-1 win.
