Richland Volleyball Struggles In 4A State Tournament
The Richland volleyball team has crushed pretty much everyone in their path this year.
The Bombers only lost twice and those losses were to Mead, the number 1 team in 4A, and West Valley, the number 1 team in 3A.
So, its not a huge stretch to say that Richland was one of the favorites to win the state title this year.
The Bombers started their march towards the title on Thursday morning as they took on Skyview.
Richland won game 1.
But then the Storm woke up and caught fire.
And Skyview pulls off a pretty big first round upset as they beat Richland 3 games to 1.
So, that loss put the Bombers in the one place they didn't want to be, the consolation side of the bracket.
They didn't have much time to rest before getting back on the court against Snohomish.
And, again, the Bombers just didn't have the A-game...they fall to the Panthers 3 games to 1.
So, after losing just 1 match in the regular season, Richland loses their last 3 matches of the year and their great season comes to a premature end.
