Thursday Night HS Football Recap - 11-4-10
The high school football season is slowly starting to wind down.
This is the final week of the regular season for some of our teams and the first week of the playoffs for others.
In 2A, most of the CWAC teams wrapped up the regular season on Thursday night.
Prosser has already clinched the top seed in the league.
If they could beat Grandview on Thursday night, they'd win the title outright.
And the Mustangs are able to win the league title outright as they crush Grandview...the final was 61-14.
2nd place in the CWAC was on the line Thursday night as Ellensburg and Othello got together in a top 10 battle.
Ellensburg scored in the 4th quarter to force overtime.
And in OT, an extra point proved to be the difference.
The Bulldogs clinch the 2nd seed as they beat Othello 15-14.
A few other CWAC teams were playing for pride on Thursday night as they wrapped up their seasons.
East Valley wins a close one over Selah...the final was 28-20.
And Quincy just crushes Ephrata 50-0.
The final CWAC game, Wapato at Toppenish, will be on Friday night.
There were also a couple of Big Nine games on Thursday night.
A few of our teams wrapped up their seasons with some non-playoff crossover action.
Because of the way the crossovers work, 2 of our local teams actually played each other.
Walla Walla and Hanford both struggled through long seasons.
And Thursday night, they wrapped up the year against each other.
And Hanford ends the season on a positive note...they beat Walla Walla 33-17.
Pasco also hosted a crossover game on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs took on 0-9 Rogers.
Unfortunately, Pasco just fell a little short.
