CBC Women's Soccer Wins, Volleyball Loses Close Match
By Keith Leventhal
The CBC women's soccer team has been one of the best in the NWAACC over the last few years.
They've won 3 NWAACC titles since 1994, including one last year. This year's team is off to another hot start. They were 5-0-1 coming into Wednesday's game against North Idaho College. There was no score for a long time in this one. Finally, in the 81st minute, Julissa Rodriguez was able to stick one in the back of the net. And CBC stays unbeaten as they get the 1-0 win over North Idaho. The Hawks next game is next Wednesday when they play at Wenatchee Valley. The CBC volleyball team was also in action on Wednesday night. They had their hands full, since they had to play at 4th ranked Spokane. The Hawks put up a good fight...but they fell a little short. They end up getting swept by the Sasquatch...the scores were 25-21, 25-23, and 25-20. CBC will be back in action Friday evening when they host Treasure Valley. |
