CBC Volleyball Wins, Men's Soccer Ties

Most of our high school volleyball teams kicked off their seasons on Tuesday night.
But, the CBC volleyball team started their season two weeks ago by going 3-3 in the Chemeketa tournament. On Wednesday night, the Hawks played their first east region match of the year as they took on Yakima Valley. And CBC opens east region play with a big win...they sweep Yakima Valley 25-18, 25-23, and 25-18. The Hawks will be right back on the court Thursday evening when they host Clackamas. There was one other CBC team in action on Wednesday. The men's soccer team was on the road, playing at Peninsula. The Pirates scored with less than 10 minutes to go in the game...but the Hawks Eduardo Arzate tied things up just before the final buzzer. So, CBC ends up with the 1-1 tie. The Hawks will be back in action Saturday when they host Tacoma. |
