The last 7 months have been almost non-stop chaos for the Tri-Cities Fever.
But, after getting a new owner, a new head coach, new players, and joining a new league, things seemed to have calmed down.
And Monday night, the Fever really got back to normal as they kicked off the 2010 season.
The team was up in Fairbanks, Alaska, to play their first game in the Indoor Football League.
And it was an interesting debut for the team.
Fairbanks took the lead in the middle of the 4th quarter.
The Fever got the ball back...and with 36 seconds left in the game, they tied it up at 41.
They'd go to overtime...both teams scored...so, tied at 48, it went to a 2nd overtime.
The Fever scored first in the 2nd OT.
Then Fairbanks got the ball...and on 4th and goal, they scored a touchdown to tie things up at 55.
The Grizzlies got the ball first in the 3rd overtime. And they scored a touchdown. They had to go for 2 and don't convert, so their lead was 61-55.
Then, the Fever got the ball. And on their first play, they scored a touchdown to tie the game at 61. They had to go for 2...and, they also could not convert.
So, they went to a 4th overtime tied at 61.
The Fever got the ball first and they quickly scored a touchdown. The team then went for 2 and, again, could not convert. So the Fever led 67-61.
Fairbanks then got their possession. They scored a touchdown to tie the game at 67. Once again, they had to go for 2. And, this time, they do convert.
So, Fairbanks ends up beating Tri-Cities 69-67 in 4 overtimes.
We're going to try and have some highlights for you on Tuesday.
And the Fever's next game is this Sunday in Billings, Montana.
