Since the high school basketball season ended a couple weeks ago, that means its time to hand out some postseason awards.
The Seattle Times just announced their all-state teams...and one local star made the list.
Connell senior forward Coriann Wood was named the Seattle Times 1A Player of the Year.
During the regular season, Wood was the leading scorer in the SCAC as she averaged 21 points a game, and she was also named league MVP.
Then, in the postseason, Wood led the Eagles to a 4th place finish at this year's state tournament.
She has committed to play basketball next year at BYU, and we'd like to say congratulations to her on this honor.
