He took part in the Nashville Predators training camp earlier this month.
But, the team has decided he wasn't quite ready for the NHL, and the sent him to the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL.
Pickard was one of 2 goalies sent to Milwaukee and there's no word yet on who will be the starter when their season begins.
The admirals opened up training camp on Wednesday and their first regular season game will be on October 3rd.
