Pasco, UW Star Jorden Merry Signs With M's
The Seattle Mariners only used a couple of their picks in the draft to take players from Washington.

But now, they've signed one of those players...and he'll be making a trip back to his hometown in just a couple of weeks.

Our partners at the Tri-City Herald are reporting that the Mariners have agreed to terms with 40th round draft pick Jorden Merry.

Merry played his high school ball at Pasco, and then continued his career at the University of Washington.

The good news for his family and friends is that Merry isn't going to have to go too far from home.

He's going to be assigned to the Everett AquaSox and will spend the summer in the Northwest League.

And if you'd like to see him in person, Everett will be in town for a 5-game series starting on July 9th.
