Connell vs. Highland Boys Soccer 5-14-09

Now that we're in the middle of May, spots in high school state tournaments are being decided.

Earlier this week, the Connell and Highland boys soccer teams both earned a trip to state.

But, before they get there, these two teams had to play each other for the SCAC district title.

Last year, the Eagles and Scotties met in the state semifinals, a game Highland won 1-0.

Connell was looking for some revenge on Thursday night.

This game was tied through a pair of overtimes.

And, how about this...Connell beats Highland in the shootout which means they hand the Scotties their first loss of the year...the final score was 4-3.

And that means Connell is the top seed going to state, while Highland ends up as the 2 seed.
