As soon as the high school football season ended, everyone started asking questions about Prosser head coach Tom Moore.

Would he leave the Mustangs and move to Boise?

Would he stay and watch his sons on TV?

Well, coach Moore has made up his mind.

On Thursday, he announced that he would be resigning as the head coach of the Prosser football team.

Moore has been with the Mustangs for 23 years.

In that time, he went 234-38...took his team to the state championship game 8 times, and won 4 titles...and saw several of his players go on to play college football.

2 stars that have come through his program are his sons Kellen and Kirby.

Both of them are now at Boise State...and Tom says that's the big reason he's stepping away.

Coach Moore says, "I missed 3 Boise games last year and it was really tough getting on a bus going to Wapato and getting texts from my wife, who went to the boise game, and trying to coach a high school game knowing that my other son is playing at the same time and that was really hard, that was tough to miss those games and this is just a great opportunity, we're a very blessed family, we're very lucky, and we're gonna go watch them play."

There have been rumors that Moore would take a job in Boise to be closer to his sons.

He tells me that no one offered him a job...and that he and his wife are happy and will be staying in Prosser.
