The 4A CBL Baseball Race Clears Up

The 4A CBL Baseball Race Clears Up

By Keith Leventhal

If you follow high school baseball, you know that the regular season wrapped up on Friday.

But, after all the games were done, there were still some issues that needed to be taken care of.

Well, on Monday afternoon, some of those issues were solved.

Because of Friday's games, Pasco, Davis, and Moses Lake all ended up in a 3-way tie for 2nd place in the CBL, and Wenatchee and Walla Walla were in a tie for 6th.

So, there were supposed to be a few tiebreaker games on Monday and Tuesday.

But, late Monday afternoon, Davis had to forfeit a win from Friday's games against Wenatchee because they used an ineligible player.

And that affects a lot of teams.

Wenatchee is now the 6th seed in the CBL, while Walla Walla is out of the postseason.

Davis is now the 4th seed in the league...and Pasco will play a tiebreaker game at Moses Lake on Tuesday to determine the 2nd and 3rd seeds.

Richland and Eisenhower managed to stay out of this mess...the Bombers are the top team, while Ike is locked into 5th place.

Martin Vaal Lopez made a plea and went home to his family. He was once accused of killing a Pasco woman. But now, he served less than 2 years, and went home to his own wife and kids. Do you think this is justice?
