Fever Finally Get First Win

Fever Finally Get First Win

By Keith Leventhal

The Tri-Cities Fever started the year with a pair of close losses.

Then, everything went wrong in their next 2 games as they lost by 46 and 44 points.

This week, the Fever came back home, trying to end their 8 game losing streak.

And for awhile, it looked like that streak was going to continue.

The Fever were down by 13 at the half...and while they chipped away at that lead, they were still trailing late in the game.

But, that's when the new-look Fever took over.

New quarterback Josh Kellett led the team down the field in the final minute...and with no time left on the clock, he threw a touchdown pass to Phil Goodman that gave the Fever the 49-48 win.

And, what makes that win even bigger is that it moved the Fever out of last place in the West Division and within 1 game of 3rd place Central Valley.

This week, the Fever are back at home as they play a non-division game.

The team will host Bossier-Shreveport on Saturday night...and that game gets started at 7.

Martin Vaal Lopez made a plea and went home to his family. He was once accused of killing a Pasco woman. But now, he served less than 2 years, and went home to his own wife and kids. Do you think this is justice?
