Ams Finish The Sweep of Kamloops

Ams Finish The Sweep of Kamloops

By Keith Leventhal

Over the last few years, the Tri-City Americans have been a good regular season team, but have fallen apart in the playoffs.

The last time the Ams won a playoff series was back in 2004...and the last time they swept a series was way back in 1999.

But that could all change on Wednesday night.

The Americans were in Kamloops playing game 4 of their first round series on Wednesday evening.

And there it is...its all over.

Tri-City gets 2 goals from Radek Meidl and 4 other players score 1 each as the Ams beat the Blazers 6-2.

And that means they get their first sweep in 9 years, and advance to the 2nd round for the first time in 4 seasons.

The Ams 2nd round series will probably be against either Seattle or Kelowna, and should get underway around the end of next week.
