Fever Make Big Quarterback Moves

Fever Make Big Quarterback Moves

By Keith Leventhal

The Tri-Cities Fever are just a few days away from opening their regular season.

Ryan Porter was brought in during the off-season to be the team's starting quarterback.

But, over the last week, that's all changed.

And late Monday, the Fever traded Porter to Green Bay in exchange for future considerations.

Porter hadn't played well in the team's 2 preseason games, and the Fever decided it was time to move in a new direction.

That trade left the Fever with just 1 quarterback, John Pierce...so, they went ahead and made another move.

The Fever traded kicker Robby Smith and linebacker Hausia Faleofa to Boise in exchange for quarterback Jason Campbell.

I talked to Coach Walker on Tuesday, and he says he hasn't chosen a starter for Friday's game against Stockton.
