Football fans, college football is back! Central Washington got things started at home Saturday and they didn't catch much of a break to start the season. The 5th ranked Wildcats are starting the year going head to head with the 4th ranked Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth.
What was hyped up to be an epic showdown, didn’t live up to expectations. Central Washington led after the 1st quarter 3 to 0, but that would be the last time they would have the lead. In the 2nd quarter, Minnesota Duluth exploded, scoring 21 points in the quarter.
In the 3rd, the Bulldogs kept things going with a Chase Vogler 89 yard touchdown pass to DJ Winfield. Wildcats finally got in the end zone later in the quarter. Ryan Robertson found Chris Smith for the TD, the Wildcats only one of the game.
The Wildcats got bit badly in this one, they fall to the Bulldogs 35 to 10. Central Washington returns to action next Saturday when they head down to Utah to take on Dixie State.
