Free rides over Oregonians! Shop WA, pay WA taxes
State lawmakers are looking at our border with Oregon to make money.
The plan aims to bring in 20-million dollars per year by taxing people from Oregon when they shop in our state.
Right now - an Oregon I.D. will get shoppers out of paying any sales tax.
Under the proposal - Oregon residents would be able to apply for a refund on the "state" portion of the tax...But they'd still be on the hook for the local or city tax.
