YAKIMA, Wash. -- A woman walking to work at the Bakery Outlet was robbed this morning, according to Yakima Police.

Police said a man approached the woman from behind and hit her in the head as she entered the store on North 4th Avenue.

The employee was reportedly carrying a bank bag with an undisclosed amount of money inside.

The suspect was last seen running from the store in a floral shirt and no shoes, according to police.

Detectives and a K-9 continued to search for the suspect into Tuesday afternoon. Police said the suspect fled on foot toward North 3rd Avenue.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at Regional Hospital.
