Woman, 18, dies in crash near Hood River

HOOD RIVER, Ore. – An 18-year-old woman died Tuesday after a truck collided with her SUV on Highway 35 south of Hood River, police said.

Savanna K. Holloway of Cascade Locks died at the scene of the crash.

Police said Holloway was driving her Honda CRV onto Highway 35 from a driveway at around 3:10 p.m. when she pulled in front of a flatbed truck loaded with pears. The truck hit the driver’s side of Holloway’s SUV.

The truck driver was not injured in the crash.

Police said both drivers were wearing seat belts.
