NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST -- A Red Flag Warning is in effect for a combination of wind, low relative humidity, and dry fuels across most of the region through 11 PM this evening.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST OREGON
AS WELL AS SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON.

RED FLAG WARNING
     EAST SLOPES OF THE WASHINGTON CASCADES, SIMCOE HIGHLANDS,
     EASTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE OF WASHINGTON, KITTITAS VALLEY,
     YAKIMA VALLEY, LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN OF WASHINGTON, FOOTHILLS
     OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS OF WASHINGTON, NORTHWEST BLUE MOUNTAINS
     OF WASHINGTON, EASTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE OF OREGON, NORTH
     CENTRAL OREGON, EAST SLOPES OF THE OREGON CASCADES, LOWER
     COLUMBIA BASIN OF OREGON, WALLOWA COUNTY, FOOTHILLS OF THE
     NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON, NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF

A COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE THROUGH EASTERN WASHINGTON AND
OREGON THIS MORNING, EXITING THE AREA BY NOON. STRONG WINDS ALOFT
WILL MIX TO THE SURFACE TODAY AFTER THE FRONT HAS MOVED THROUGH.
EVEN THOUGH THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOLER, THE AIR MIXING TO
THE SURFACE WILL BE DRY. THUS RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL BE LOW AGAIN
TODAY. ALSO, FUELS REMAIN VERY DRY, THUS THE STRONG WINDS WILL
PROMOTE RAPID FIRE SPREAD. RED FLAG WARNINGS REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL

THE VERY WINDY CONDITIONS MAY ALSO CAUSE SOME BLOWING DUST THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE
KITTITAS VALLEY AND A WIND ADVISORY CONTINUES THROUGH 9 PM PDT THIS

THE PROBABILITY FOR WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.

COOLER TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE ON TUESDAY. FREEZING TEMPERATURES
MAY BE POSSIBLE IN CENTRAL OREGON AND THE OREGON MOUNTAINS TUESDAY
MORNING AND AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY
WARM UP WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY.
