PASCO, Wash. -- If you're looking to buy beer from the Pasco Walmart, you'll have to wait.

Action News learned the store has had its alcohol license suspended for ten days because it sold booze to a minor.

The suspension began yesterday and goes until August 13th. It comes after the Liquor Control Board caught Walmart breaking the law during a sting operation.

The Liquor Control Spokesman says the Walmart failed to respond to the citation within 20 days. If they did, they would have payed a one-thousand dollar fine instead of the suspension.

Walmart shopper Kim Tran says, "What they should do moving forward is set this as a precedent and maybe even extend it and make it so it never happens again. They got to make it so it's so severe that it can't happen again."

And in a statement to Action News, a Walmart representative told us, "the policy regarding alcohol sales is clear - we expect employees to follow the policies. We are taking appropriate steps by reemphaizing policy and offering more training to associates."
