Walla Walla man arrested as suspect in brutal stabbing

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Walla Walla police have also arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman outside a local bar. Police found Ryan Farr hiding in a garage just two blocks away from the Border Tavern. Authorities believe Farr approached a woman outside the tavern, punched her several times, and then stabbed her in the head and body. Police say Farr has an extensive criminal history in the Walla Walla area.

Officer Tim Bennett tells KEPR, "Whenever we arrest somebody who's been involved in such a horrendous attack on a woman, it's always a great thing. "

The victim is reported to be in stable condition. Police still don't have a motive in this case and it's still not clear if the Farr knew the victim.
