Vehicle strikes a Richland girl head-on

RICHLAND, Wash. -- Viewers have been repeatedly calling and posting on the KEPR Facebook page, troubled with how little information has been released on a little girl struck by a car in Richland Monday night.
After multiple calls to police, we've learned Sadie Hollingshead, 9, was walking her bicycle across the street at the Lee Boulevard and Smith Avenue when a vehicle slammed into her.
The driver says the sun was in his eyes, and Sadie darted out of nowhere.
The investigation is open, and police say drunk driving is not a factor. No arrests or infractions are expected.
Sadie is in satisfactory condition at a Spokane hospital.
