Uptown sign getting an update

RICHLAND, Wash. -- Richland's retro uptown tower is getting a big make-over. The 60's looking sign will zoom into the future. KEPR learned the Uptwon sign will have the same structure, just spruced up with new LED lighting. It should cost just a couple thousand dollars. We wondered if you'd be sorry to see the legendary sign make a change.
Uptown Restaurant owner, Bobbi Woodard says, "It's so great. So exciting... Stop all the people in the Tri-Cities from thinking Uptown needs to be bulldozed."
The group is also looking into putting funds towards the old Regal Theater and updating the exterior.
