NWS FORECAST -- A cold low pressure system will move over the region Friday night. Scattered mountain snow showers are expected along with cold temperatures.
A slight chance of rain showers and sleet is possible into Friday evening for the lower elevations and valleys. Snow/wintry mix is likely in the valleys and across the basin Sunday night into Monday.
Snow showers will be likely in the mountains of Central Oregon and areas south of Bend, which will receive an additional 2-7 inches of snowfall by Saturday morning. Temperatures will be 10-15 degrees below normal.
