Two drivers hospitalized after crash north of Pasco
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. -- A Pasco man and a woman from Eltopia were hospitalized Wednesday after their pickups collided on U.S. 395.

According to Washington State Patrol, 56-year-old Franklin Tiegs was going west on Phend Road just after 9:15 a.m. when he came to the intersection with U.S. 395. Troopers say Tiegs failed to yield the right of way and crashed into 58-year-old Debra Klug, who was traveling north on the highway.

WSP says Tiegs' truck then continued through a fence before coming to a stop in an irrigation canal.

Tiegs was transported to Kadlec Medical Center, while Klug was taken to Lourdes Medical Center.

The driver of a third vehicle was uninjured, but her vehicle was damaged after striking debris from the crash on the roadway.
