Two cars stolen in one morning
KENNEWICK POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- 38 year old man left his car parked, unlocked and unattended while it was warming up at 6:00 a.m. Thursday on the 1200 block of W. 7th Ave. When he returned, it was gone. The car is described as a 2000 dark green Honda Accord 4 door. We believe that this vehicle may have been involved in a hit and run accident a short time later in the same area.

A car was left unattended and running in the parking lot of the Circle K on 10th and Washington in Kennewick. A white female, was seen getting into the car and driving it away. The car is described as a red with brown top, 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider.

The Kennewick Police have notified neighboring law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for the vehicles.

This is a common theme when the weather gets cold like it is now. Victims will leave their car running, unlocked and unattended to warm up only to find that an opportunistic thief has driven away in their vehicle. It is illegal to leave your car running if you are not inside.
