"Turn off the screen before you are mean"
KENNEWICK – One local school is making strides to end cyber-bullying. Students at Desert Hills Middle wore black to raise awareness.

The mantra: “turn off the screen before you are mean.”
It’s part of a bullying-awareness month at this school.

“We decided to do this because we feel like it’s an issue at Desert Hills – not as much physical but verbally through cyber-bullying,” said student Kendyl Holle.

“I feel like it’s a problem everywhere though – not just at our school, but we really want to end bullying,” said student Tristar Davis.

Upcoming themes include – stop bullying and jump into spring – and keep class and don’t harass.
