Tourist dollars helping offset TRAC and Convention Center investments

PASCO-- KEPR has told you about the large amount of tax dollars shoveled out to pay for the TRAC and our local convention centers.
You asked why we keep them at all.
KEPR found out the important dollars come from outside the facilities' doors.
Roughly 200-thousand people visit the the Toyota Center and TRAC from out of town every year.
If each person spends 150-dollars during their stay, that's 30-million dollars for our economy.
Other investments by the cities also translate into dollars for local businesses -- like the new Southridge Sports Complex and the Three Rivers Convention Center.
