Three arrested in Walla Walla for possessing meth, gun

WALLA WALLA POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE -- SWAT Team members from the City/County Emergency Services Unit forced entry into a rental property early this morning to serve a search warrant related to drug activity. The warrant was served at about 6:45 this morning at 1032 Valencia and resulted in the arrests of three subjects.

Drug Detectives from the Special Teams Unit had developed probable cause for the search warrant for drug activity involving the address. During the search of the property, detectives recovered about ½ ounce of suspected “Crystal Methamphetamine” with a street value of $800-$1,000; digital scales with suspected drug residue; $1,400 in cash; and a Kel-Tec, 9mm, semi-automatic handgun with an altered serial number.

Drew M. Walker, 29, who lives at the residence, was taken into custody and lodged on probable cause for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Drug Paraphernalia, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm with Altered Identifying Marks.

Brandon C. Sharp, 25, was present at the residence and was taken into custody on a felony warrant from the Sheriff’s Office related to an earlier burglary charge.

Chance R. Jaramillo, 24, 1037 ½ Valencia, was taken into custody after running from officers during the serving of the warrant. Jaramillo was found to have $75,300 in extraditable misdemeanor warrants out of Ephrata, WA.
