Smoky night as 150 acres burn on Red Mountain
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- A fire Monday afternoon blackened part of the hillside on Red Mountain, threatening structures at one point.
KEPR learned about 150 acres burned, consisting of sagebrush and hillside. The fire started about 4pm near Red Mountain Road and Highway 224. It is not clear how the fire was sparked. Crews from multiple agencies were called in to assist with putting it out. No structures burned.
