RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Richland School District will offer its first “Ready for Kindergarten” classes this month, to help those with young children to prepare them to succeed in school.
The classes are open to parents, guardians, and caregivers of three-, four-, and five-year-old children in the Jefferson, Jason Lee, Sacajawea, Tapteal, Marcus Whitman, and Wiley school boundaries.
Classes will be held at Tapteal Elementary School on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; at Marcus Whitman Elementary School on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and at Jefferson Elementary School on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This is the first time Ready for Kindergarten classes have been offered in Richland. The program was developed in Kennewick in 2002.
