Richland safer for home owners

Richland safer for home owners
RICHLAND-- In Richland, Action News discovers home burglaries are becoming less common.

In 2011, there were more than 160-home burglaries in Richland.

Last year, that number fell by nine-percent.

Police attribute the drop to some key arrests... but also say, you need to stay vigilant.

Pasco Police recently made arrests of people linked to Richland burglaries, as well.

Capt. Mike Cobb of the Richland PD says, "Burglars will move in and out of a location, and they will be back -- that I can guarantee."

While officers increase patrols, police hope you'll lock up your car and home, too.

Looking out for your neighbor -- and calling police if you see any suspicious activity, is also key to making arrests.
