Pendleton man pleads guilty to manslaughter

PENDLETON, Ore. - On Tuesday, Joseph Quintana Jr. was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to causing the death of Allen Anthony Spencer in 2010 and assaulting a Umatilla County Corrections Deputy.
The 35 year old was in Umatilla County Jail at the time of the assault awaiting trail for causing Spencer's death.

In July of 2010 the Umatilla/Morrow County Major Crime team found Spencer injured at Pendleton Woolen Mills. The crime team followed the case for nearly two years until Quintana turned himself in. A grand jury indicted Quintana for causing Spencer's death in July of 2012. While in jail awaiting his trial, Quintana got in a fight with an inmate and attacked a corrections deputy.
