Pendleton beating possibly linked to year old murder
PENDLETON, Ore. -- Pendleton police chief Stuart Roberts has told the East Oregonian that DNA recovered from the August 9th brutal beating of Karen Lange at the Riverwalk matches DNA recovered from the murder scene of Amyjane Brandhagen.

Roberts says the DNA was from a pipe believed to used as the weapon against Lange

The 19-year old Brandhagen was found dead more than a year ago in a room at the Travelodge Motel on Dorian Avenue.

Up until this point very little has been disclosed concerning the murder. There have been no arrests and no mention of motive or suspects.

A homeless man, Danny Wu, is a person of interest in the Lange beating. The police believe he may have left the area.
