Peacock crossing signs up in Union Gap

Peacock crossing signs up in Union Gap
UNION GAP, Wash. -- It's not your typical traffic warning. The 'Peacock Crossing' signs are now up around town.

The signs recently went up on Ahtanum Road to alert drivers about the group of wild peacocks.

Drivers tell KIMA they have to slam on their breaks to avoid the birds crossing the street.

One bird was even caught on tape scratching a car.

Union Gap is trying to relocate the animals to a sanctuary.
