PASCO, Wash. -- KEPR is keeping you updated on the future of the TRAC in Pasco. Franklin County leaders met Monday to lay down a draft of the budget.

TRAC operation losses cost the city $400-500,000 every year. The city and county have been splitting that figure for the last decade. The county originally thought that agreement would end in 2014, but now believe they have until 2024, which gives them more time to figure out exactly what to do with the facility.

Commissioner Brad Peck tells KEPR, "It's a great asset to the county. Very much want to keep it.. and find a way the it isn't an economic burden to just the county while the city and businesses get all the benefits."

With the city's help, we're told Franklin County is looking further into expanding the land and adding a water park.
