Pasco warns residents of possible scam

PASCO, Wash. -- The city of Pasco said residents have reported a water utility scam. They said residents were contacted by phone and told their water was unsafe to drink.

One resident told the city they were contacted at home by the possible scammers. They seem to be telling residents that their water needs to be tested.

Pasco recommends residents ask to see identification and a city solicitor's license from any solicitor.

You can notify the Pasco Police Department, 509-545-3421, if a solicitor isn't able to show you their license.
