Pasco tops graduation rates in Tri-Cities

TRI-CITIES – It’s graduation weekend for our local high schools and KEPR looked into how Tri-Cities graduation rates compare throughout the districts.

KEPR discovered that according the most updated numbers, Pasco has the best graduation rates at about 75%. That's over a ten percent increase from the year before.

Kennewick increased by about two percent over that same time, while Richland's graduation rates have dropped by about 5%.

“Everybody can make a mistake here and there, but we have to learn from the mistakes that we make and move forward - it means all the hard work and our future going into the real world,” said graduation specialist Efrain Cardoza.

Both Pasco and Chiawana High School have their graduation tomorrow at Edgar Brown Stadium, while other local high schools will split time out at the Toyota Center.
